Words To That Effect Season 2:

Monday February 12th, 2018

Words To That Effect Podcast Season 2

I’ve been working hard for the last 2 months to get a brand new season of Words To That Effect ready to go.

If you’re stopping by for the first time – great! All the episodes of Season 1 are available right here

If you’re already a fan and you’ve heard Season 1, then thank you so much for sticking around. I really enjoyed making the first season and I’ve got lots planned for Season 2.

So, what’s coming up?

Well, I’ve been billing the show as a journey through the intriguing, the curious, and the unexplored so there will be lots more of that. It will be curiouser and curiouser.

There are upcoming episodes on The Weird, with a capital ‘W’, and why the internet is obsessed with HP Lovecraft.

I’ll be looking at the future too, at utopias, intentional communities, and how we might build a perfect world.

I’ll also be exploring transhumanism – the alluring yet terrifying world of people looking for technological solutions to immortality.

There will also be Hungarian baronesses, the French revolution, climate change, and the invention of time.

I’ll be talking to authors, journalists, academics, and probably roping in a few of my unsuspecting friends.

Plenty to keep you entertained, I hope.

Season 2 launches next Monday, the 12th February and is available at all the usual podcast places (click here for a full list of ways to listen) and right here on the website.

Don’t forget to subscribe now if you haven’t already so the new season will pop in your feed the second it’s up (click “subscribe” on the player above and it will give you all the options)

In the meantime you can follow the show on Facebook and I’m on twitter @cedreid. Oh, and there’s now a Words To That Effect Instagram feed as well, if you feel like you need more beautiful pictures of books in your life. And who doesn’t?

So that’s it. I’m really looking forward to getting the new season out there and I hope you enjoy it.

Conor
